"To All Those We Left Behind In America---Again..."

...is the "2009" travel journal we will use for this year's holiday in Ireland.

WELCOME.

That's us in the photo---Robert & Susan O'Keane, also known as "Bob & Sue" or "Rob & Sue."

We are being photographed in 2008 by our very kind friend Patsy while standing in "Murrisk Abbey" on the south shore of Clew Bay, Mayo, Ireland.

But we live on a corner of the family farm in rural Wisconsin---in America's Heartland---about 100 miles north of Chicago.

We are two farm kids who went into "teaching" careers until we found our true calling in the careers of "retirement."

This 2009 holiday in Ireland is our fourth journey to the land of our ancestors---Great-grandparents Mathew W. O'Keane / Keane and Katherine (Prendergast) O'Keane---to search for family history and enjoy the country and its people.

Instead of jamming the email inbox of friends and relatives, we give them the option to "lose" this URL address in case they don't have the heart to say "no thanks."
